This software is suitable for primary and secondary school students who are experiencing reading difficulties, including those who are dyslexic or have ADD. It is also suitable for adult learners and ‘English as a Second Language’ students.

The strength of Reading Freedom is in its modern phonics-based approach and its fundamental principles of structured instruction, and positive reinforcement through the demonstrated mastery of basic reading skills.

Reading Freedom 3 is specifically designed for students at the intermediate stage of their reading acquisition, including those students with reading problems.

The program enables students to use sophisticated phonics skills to read words containing dipthongs, vowel sounds before 'r', vowel digraphs and silent letters, and asks them to demonstrate mastery of these words through a series of activities. This involves blending words that cannot be recognised immediately, spelling, basic sight vocabulary, and extensive word recognition activities.

The interactive exercises, voiceover support, motivational activities and reinforcement through positive feedback combine to help students gradually develop their skills so they can read these words with accuracy and fluency.

Enrichment activities then ask students to demonstrate their mastery of the skills taught at this level by participating in extensive comprehension exercises.

The program continuously monitors students as they progress through the learning modules, and only when they have displayed competency within a module can they move on to the next.

When students have completed Reading Freedom 3 they will be ready to learn the sounds and rules taught in Reading Freedom 4
