Endpoint Security

Energy Saver

With the influx of portable storage devices and removable media, data theft is becoming an increasing threat to organizations. Devices such as USBs, WiFI, FireWire, Bluetooth, iPods, Mobile Phones, MP3s connect seamlessly to company networks, without IT administrators having any knowledge that their company data is being exposed.

Codework’s endpoint security solution, Access Patrol, provides a comprehensive solution for securing company devices to minimize unauthorized access to proprietary information.

Another challenge facing organizations is the unnecessary wastage of energy when workstations are left running after hours. With rising energy costs, administrators are turning to more effective solutions for managing energy consumption in the workplace..

AccessPatrol provides an effective method for power management. With a simple click of the mouse, computers can be remotely shutdown or booted. This function can also be scheduled to force a shutdown of the PCs at a specific time, e.g. after work hours, or schedule a boot of the PCs at the beginning of a work day.

AccessPatrol Features

Manage data leakage and system infection
AccessPatrol manages endpoint device access both on and off the network. Unauthorized access or transfer of data through USB flash drives, CDs, iPods, MP3s, FireWire, WiFi, Bluetooth on all company systems, can be managed centrally through AccessPatrol’s web console.
The web based management console, gives administrators the added flexibility of remotely implementing endpoint security.

Centralized Security Management
From a centralized web console, endpoint security can be applied to all device entry points across the company. The web based console, provides additional flexibility in accessing the AccessPatrol console from any location to authorized administrators only.

Security Levels
Security levels to devices include full access, read only or no access.

Offsite Device Management
When a laptop or computer is offsite, AccessPatrol can still manage the security of endpoint devices. If access to blocked devices is legitimately required, then AccessPatrol can be easily be configured to grant permissions.

Allowed List
While AccessPatrol can restrict access to all endpoint devices, the Allowed List feature restricts access to only company authorized devices of USBs, FireWire, External Hard Drives This minimizes leakage of sensitive data or infection of systems through unapproved or personal employee devices.

Scheduler
An alternate method of giving users selective rights to devices is by scheduling access privileges at specific times of the day. For examples, the IT team can be scheduled to have access to CD/DVDs for software installation during after hours, when most users are away.

Remote Client Install
AccessPatrol clients can be pushed out remotely from the Console, thereby eliminating the need to visit individual clients.

Power Management
Remotely shutdown, restart and boot computers on a network. These features can also be scheduled to run automatically at designated times through the Scheduler.
